With the world being more health conscious than ever, South Jordan currently provides many health and fitness centers. Two of them are city recreation centers with pools, a track, basketball gyms, and weight rooms. Specifically, The Marv Jenson Aquatics Center, and the South Jordan Recreation Center. 3 of them are nationwide fitness centers; Vasa Fitness, Lifetime Fitness, and 24-hour fitness. If you would rather shop or dine out, you have many different options to choose from. There is the Towne Center Square-which is one of the smaller shopping centers. It has a Harmon’s, Savers, Dollar Store, and several dining choices. The Towne Center Square is also home to the South Jordan City Library.

The District is one of South Jordan’s premier shopping and dining destinations.  People come from all over because it has everything you could want. The District in South Jordan is the largest development of its kind in Utah. The 120-acre shopping and dining megaplex includes theatres, restaurants, residential housing, retail facilities, specialty shops, office space and also a great view of the Salt Lake City Valley. The District is a unique blend of design and architecture which brings sophistication and beauty to South Jordan. Some of the other stores it offers are Hobby Lobby, Harmon’s, Ross, Target, JCPenney, Old Navy, and Gordmans.

The Oquirrh Mountain Marketplace is one of Daybreak’s newest shopping centers. This new and hip business development features many shopping and eating options for residents of  Daybreak and surrounding areas. It also offers new housing developments in the area which are both unique and affordable.

Due to the fact that there are people who need some urban appeal in their lives, SoDa Row and South Station Villages were created. Together, it’s a place where cool, urban townhomes are topped with shops, restaurants, and a light rail station right in the middle. In addition, it is a place where you can explore the scenery, paddle a kayak across a large freshwater lake, or play at the many city parks.

When it comes to education, Utah is one of the best areas to continue your education. Right in South Jordan are two specialty choices for those wanting to stay close to home, Roseman University of Health Sciences, and the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics. Aside from the shopping, education and dining options, there are also several events held throughout the year for the whole family. These include the Sights and Sounds of Summer, SoJo Summerfest, and Light the Night.
